Entrepreneurship is stressful
Jolting awake every morning...
It’s quite stressful to leave a comfortable job and go out on your own. I did that June 30th. We’re nearly a month and half in and sometimes I question the decision. But the work I’m doing I enjoy thoroughly. The conversations I’m having are tremendous and exciting. I’m talking about the things people have asked my advice on for the last several years. And we are even beginning to win some contracts.
The jolting awake in the morning because I have 200 things to accomplish though is a little much. The sleep patterns haven’t gotten better. It’s a tense moment in the early stages. The potential is endless, so onward we march.
This week we earned a contract with a group that has a vision we are excited about. It’ll be work that won’t be hard to dive into and remain motivated to execute.
Also, up to now, we’ve produced nearly 10 episodes of podcasts for either ourselves or others, in just a month and a half. Those are decent numbers, in my opinion. I’m trying to stick to once a week for my own podcast, and those download numbers fluctuate pretty significantly. We have had nearly 400 audio downloads/listens thus far on my own podcast and thousands of impressions across video platforms. I’d say that’s a win thus far for our reach.
The consistency of our efforts will be the deciding factor on this. We have a thesis that content demand will continue its upward trend. Onward we march producing content then. You can find the latest episode of “The Leadership Room” wherever you get your podcasts. Please listen, review, subscribe, and/or follow our content. It would help us tremendously!
